Below are pictures of the bathroom at Blackhawk Farms Raceway as we remodeled it. The original bathroom was 40 years old and looked even older. The toilets in the original bath were set directly over the septic tank and the floor drains vented the septic tank back into the bathrooms!

The new bathroom is heated and has state of the art Kohler fixtures. There are 8 lavatories, 11 toilets 4 urinals and 6 showers. We also repaired the septic system so it no longer vents into the bathroom!

The building is an EPS Solid Core building- the outside walls are Structural Insulated Panels (SIP) which consist of 1/2" OSB on the outside and inside with 5-5/8" high performance ridgid foam laminated in-between. The panels are tongue & grooved together with a continuous bottom plate and double top plate. This makes for a R26 wall with no air penetration. We blew in R49 in the attic and now they have a bathroom that is easy to keep warm even in the off season, so they no longer have to drain the water system down and hope that nothing breaks in the winter months.

The inside walls of this building were laminated with FRP for a easy maintenance interior. For more information on EPS or their Solid Core buildings follow this link EPS Solid Core
